Hi Bob,
As far as I can see I’m unable to view the Embedding Audio & Video part of the replay. Is this just a peculiarity on my side, or is there a problem with his chunk of the replay?
Oscar
I’m not seeing either so there might be problem with the this particular section of the Video
Ann
Thanks Oscar for pointing this out – it’s been fixed now.
Same thing here, Embedding Audio & Video is not working on the video replay.

Hi Bob,
I have a question regarding protecting files. Basically, I have 15 modules (15 individual PDFs) that are all part of one product. I was thinking about setting up a page with the links on it to the PDF and protecting that page. I will add the link to that page (protected) so that is what shows up on their account if they purchased it. Then the customer will be taken to the protective page for the downloads? Is that a good way to go?
Hi Greg,
You can protect all 15 PDF files individually using DAP if you save the PDFs to the same website as DAP is installed. You may want to create a folder called /modfiles or something line this. In the product, you protect each one following the steps you see in Module 4.
Yes, it’s a good idea to then make a page that links to all 15 of the PDFs, and protect that page as well.
You can either give access to all 15 at once, or you can release them 1 at a time for a set interval.
If you do not want the 15 module PDFs to show up in the user’s links page (what I’ve been calling /account), then you can edit each of the PDFs settings in the content responder area to not show on the user’s homepage.
Hi Bob,
First, I just want to thank you for the great training! I’ve been following along with the replays step by step. I can’t believe that I’ll have a membership site up and running by next week. Way cool
Secondly, I just want to confirm, that I cannot view the “Embedding Audio & Video” replay either…
Thanks again,
Amy

Hi Bob,
Thanks for such a great training!
Have a question. I am confused about protection of videos.
I uploaded Week 1 – Video 1 to my Viddler account and then copy/pasted the HTML code into the Post#1 in WP membership site
Settings were set to Private on the Viddler account to avoid video being viewed (or embedded) elsewhere than in the membership site.
How can I now protect this video within DAP? I do not have an URL other than the Permalink given on the Viddler server.
And since I configured this video to be private on the Viddler server,
it does not play inside the membership area. (shows message: wrong privileges)
??
Thanks in advance for your help.
Janice
Janice,
If the original video is saved on your computer, then I think you would need to upload it to Amazon’s S3. You would then give the appropriate permission for viewing and take the URL from there and paste it into your membership area.
The fact that you set the settings to private in Viddler means that the video cannot be viewed anywhere, including your membership site.
Thanks so much Anita for answering my question. Gotcha!
Will do.
Have a great day.
Janice
Bob,
I was just wondering (in case I missed it in one of the calls). I seem to recall you saying that you were going to share a free WP theme that meets the criteria of having the removable sidebar. I just realized that of the 11 WP themes I have installed on my blog, not one has a removable sidebar feature.
Thanks.
