Thanks, Bob. You sure made that easy. Love this new format as it will be so-o-o much easier to find my way around. You’ve done a great job and are such a good example for us learners.

Hi Bob,
So far it’s been one thing when I come home each day. Take it one step at a time with your workshops. Yesterday I went on a journey trail for a school home visit, it was a very effective one as I started to share with a parent about how our culture and laws are drawn to unacceptable behavior among young teens. When I was speaking to the parent, I started listening to myself share the knowledge that not all parents hear these days from educators. What I was getting at was something that I already do in real life when I take my work with me online like a journalists with a pen that will not run out of ink. My mind was focus on the true issue of this problem and what was very interesting was I found my best replies coming from the child and not the parent. When some one is willing to admit a fault out of pressure, temptation or even out of anger. Then strange things start to happen. The main focus was to inform the parent that it is important to attend the meeting that is being scheduled and if there happen to be a no show then what they will never know is what might come out of the end result when a board of members are present and who are unrelated to the matter. The room will be filled with educators, administrators and also teachers but not of the child’s school. We do this so there is no conflict of interest when collaborating these types of meetings. Very similar to your guest speakers who have a special skill. If we could come up with a solution in keeping student’s in school for a 4th chance around. We wonder what would have really been the follow through after a hearing is made. Many times the child is left not knowing if he or she will be accepted and respected upon a return from an alternative program. Like a business it is different. We have many customers but not all are satisfied.

Bob, I need find out I am trying to use another site called meetup.com. I was introduced by one of the GDI members and it looks exciting and attractable. Because it also has networking into the project. I was wondering if there is a way I am able to link in from site to site so that I am not loosing track of my visitors or how can I set this up?

I was approached by one organizer who is assigned who works with the same clients of families we serve. What are the liabilities in terms of getting permission to link from site to site if there is any. I am skeptical because of the nature of my job but also we want to share things together and link so that if they have questions the organizers can collaborate to assure communications does not fail. Any tips? We also would like to target Japan Schools because we had been providing cultural student exchange programs. That was a wonderful experience for these student’s. When it came to departure they did not want to return back home. A very tearful but happy event it was. Since we are going to be having military dependent families staying here due to build up. I was thinking about how I can engage them in our projects as well. I like to think big but we all know it takes one project at a time. I’ll be at mom’s so I will check you later.

Thanks
Cathrina
